MANILA, Philippines – Celebrating its third anniversary, the hosts, staff and director of "It's Showtime", turned emotional as they gathered on stage to thank the show's loyal viewers, the "madlang people."

Offering their thanks for three years on air through a special number, the "Showtime" hosts sang "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko" to its live studio audience.

In a letter "delivered" on stage to Anne Curtis, which she read out loud, the show's director Bobet Vidanes and its staff expressed gratitude to the hosts.

"We made things possible together, and most especially, we've grown together. Sa inyo kami kumukuha ng lakas ng loob," the letter read.

"May kaunti mang tampuhan minsan, huwag niyong kakalimutan na na sa likod niyo kami. Anuman ang mangyari, kasama niyo kaming haharapin ang bukas," Curtis continued reading.

In turn, the emotional "Showtime" hosts paid tribute to the program's staff and crew by asking them to come up on stage to be recognized.

Vidanes, who appeared on stage last, noted that most programs similar to "Showtime" only last about four years on air. He vowed, however, that the same will not be the case for their show.

"In my 24 years of service here in ABS-CBN, sa observation ko po, ang isang programa, nagla-last lang ng apat na taon," he said, addressing the viewers.

"It's our third year anniversary. Hihingi ako ng tulong sa inyo. Hindi ako papayag na hanggang apat na taon lang tayo, so I need your help," he added.

Now turning emotional, Vidanes addressed the program's hosts, referring to them as "my only family."

"Sa lahat ng hosts ko, in my present life -- maraming, maraming salamat for saving my life," he said.
