MANILA -- "Paglisan" and "Never Tear Us Apart" bagged the most awards at the 2018 Cinema One Originals Film Festival awards night held at the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City Sunday.

"Paglisan," an animated feature about a middle aged couple, was named best picture. It also won best sound, best screenplay and the Champion Bughaw Full Length Special Award.

Whammy Alcazaren bagged the best director award for his work on "Never Tear Us Apart" which also bagged the awards for best cinematography, best editing, best production design and Special Jury Prize.

Iyah Mina was named best actress for her role in "Mamu; and A Mother Too," while Alwyn Uytingco was named best actor for his role in "Asuang."
