When UDD's Armi Millare came up with the lyrics to "Lykkelig," her collaboration with pop-jazz band D'Sound, she explained that she chose to write it in Tagalog because she wanted to get non-Filipinos to sing along to the catchy track in our own language.

And while it is a little too early to see whether a crowd in Norway will belt out "lumipad" with her --the single was just released this month-- she at least got the Norwegian group's bassist Jonny Sjo to provide her with some backup vocals --yes, in Tagalog.

A music video for "Lykkelig" premiered Friday, and it features Sjo singing: "Wala nang bababa" and "Hanggang umaga na."

Speaking with Bandwagon, Millare shared that "Lykkelig" (which means "happy" in Norwegian) is about having fun with friends.

"I'm hoping that when people hear this song --wherever in the world they may be-- would make them call their friends to just have fun, after a long day’s work, on a weekend."
