MANILA, Philippines -- A new cable channel will offer Filipino viewers day-to-night nostalgia, as it sets to air classic ABS-CBN programs dating back to the late 1980s.

Dubbed Jeepney TV, the new SkyCable channel will launch its formal broadcast on Channel 69 on Monday, October 22.

Drawing from ABS-CBN's extensive archive of TV programs aired since 1986, Jeepney TV will re-run Kapamilya shows such as "ASAP Classics," "'Sang Linggo na Po Sila," "Ang TV" and "Gimik." 

The new cable channel even included in its line-up classic episodes of ABS-CBN's flagship newscast "TV Patrol" and morning talk show "Alas Singko Y Medya."

Fans of classic soap operas will also have something to look forward to as Jeepney TV will also air popular Kapamilya series"It Might Be You," "Pangako Sa 'Yo," "My Girl" and others.

Ahead of its formal broadcast on Monday, the ABS-CBN-operated Jeepney TV is currently on test programming on Sky Cable's Channel 69.
