He added that he now actively avoids dating women in showbiz, saying: "I've realized that I don't like to mix business with pleasure. I like to keep it that way."

He also reiterated his conviction on the things he likes, but said that his focus back then was really on his work.

"Kung gustong-gusto ko talaga, hindi rin naman ako mapipigilan eh. . . . Mas nangibabaw lang talaga sa akin na kahit kontrabida ako ay kailangan maging mabuting leading man ako sa kaniya."

He was on the late-night talk show to promote the upcoming afternoon series, "Los Bastardos," and his play, "Lungs."
