MANILA - Hours before the ABS-CBN Ball 2018, Kapamilya stars scrambled to look their best for one of the biggest red carpet events in the Philippine entertainment industry.

Aside from finding the perfect gown or tuxedo, having flawless and glowing skin is one of the essentials for ball goers.

“If your skin is nice already and has been prepped, the make-up comes in easy,” Belo Medical Group Managing Director Cristalle Belo told ABS-CBN News.

“We want to make their skin prepared so even under the make-up, maganda na (it already looks beautiful),” Belo said.

Here’s a run-down of skin pampering treatments some Kapamilya stars got before heading to the ABS-CBN Ball 2018.

“It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda was keen on achieving a #HugisBigasFace and opted for a Skin Reboot treatment.

“It melts the fat, tightens the skin,” Belo said.

The treatment can also be used on the body, especially on areas that need tightening.

“So if you can’t fit into your gown, masikip talaga siya, we can do it in your waist,” Belo said.

Actress Anne Curtis cleansed her face using volcanic ash called MDNA Chrome Mask to flush out dead skin cells for a more glowing look and feel.

“It hydrates your skin so we leave it there for 5 minutes and when you take it out with a magnetic device, all the impurities come out with it,” Belo said.

Kira Balinger used a LED mask to reduce oiliness and puffy cheeks.

“It lessens the oiliness and it’s anti-bacterial also so it also lessens the puffiness,” Belo said.

Ogie Alcasid’s daughter Leila had a treatment using smoke and ice to reduce visible facial pores.

“Cryoslush is parang [like] ice and smoke. It closes all the pores. It makes you a little more refreshed,” Belo said.

The Pinoy Big Brother alumna had her usual facial care treatments and had the “Cinderella Drip,” an intravenous solution “spiked with glutathione” for glowing skin.

Robi Domingo, one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN Ball 2018, got an “Athlete’s Drip” for an extra energy boost for the party.

Teen actress Heaven Peralejo got rid of dead facial skin through jet peeling.

“It uses air pressure to deliver glutathione and a saline solution,” Belo said.

“It delivers nutrients to your skin, but at the same time, it exfoliates all the dead skin,” she said.
