MANILA -- Actress Kim Chiu is now officially part of the ABS-CBN's noontime show "It's Showtime."

She was welcomed by "It's Showtime" hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang and Jhong Hilario on Monday, September 28.

"Opisyal na siyang magiging host niyo araw-araw. Let's welcome Kim Chiu. Congratulations and thank you so much for officially being a kapatid dito sa 'Showtime,'" Vice announced.

"Thank you so much. Ayaw ko na magsalita baka maiyak ako," replied Chiu, who turned emotional.

"Thank you because you choose to stay with us and you choose to be with us. Salamat, maraming salamat," Vice told Chiu.

"Nakaka-fragile 'yung salitang thank you 'Ma. And 'yung salitang 'stay,'" Chiu replied. "Thank you na pinayagan niyo akong tumuntong dito at magkakasama tayo rito."

The actress also announced that she will forever be a Kapamilya.

"Masaya ako, Kapamilya forever tayo," Chiu stressed.

"Noon pa naman Kim, lagi kang welcome rito. Binabaybay mo nga lang ito pag-bored ka sa bahay, co-host ka rito. At saka 'yan ang sinasabi namin sa inyo na kahit anong mangyari, gagawa at gagawa kami ng paraan para makapaghatid sa inyo ng bagong ganap sa 'Showtime,' bagong sahog, bagong lahok. Basta kahit paano ay mayroon kaming bagong pasabog sa inyo at isa diyan sa malalaking pasabog na 'yan ay si Kim Chiu. We're very happy na officially ay parte ka na ng pamilyang ito. Ang saya namin dahil lumabas ka para sa amin," Vice said.

"Kim, salamat sa pagtanggap mo na maging parte ng 'It's Showtime.' Alam namin na lagi mong sinasabi na gusto mong maging co-host dito kaya lang nabibigyan ka ng soap opera na hindi mo kayang pagsabayin, pero now nandito ka na welcome na welcome ka rito," Navarro adde.

Fans and viewers also expressed their support to Chiu as the hashtag #ShowtimeCHINITAnghali became the trending topic on Twitter Philippines.

Prior to "It's Showtime," Chiu starred in ABS-CBN's hit afternoon drama "Love Thy Woman," which aired its finale last September 11.
