A decade since she last attended the Kapamilya network’s Star Magic Ball, superstar Angel Locsin is set to return to the annual event, which evolves this year into the more encompassing ABS-CBN Ball.

Locsin, 33, confirmed her attendance to the September 29 gathering of stars, on the sidelines of the Thursday media launch of her co-designing venture with Avon Fashions for a bag line.

Revealing her decision to attend was “last-minute,” the actress said she is looking forward to reuniting with fellow ABS-CBN stars at the ball, which will benefit the relaunch of Bantay Bata 163’s Children’s Village.

“First time kasi ng ABS-CBN na magkaroon talaga ng ball para sa buong Kapamilya. Gusto ko ring makita ang mga Kapamilya, makasama ko sila, and to have fun with them. Sa 10 years ko sa ABS-CBN, ito magiging second,” she said.

The star of “The General’s Daughter” last attended the ball in 2008 with her then-boyfriend, TV host Luis Manzano.

Locsin will be wearing a creation by designer Popo Go, whom she entrusted, along with her stylists, with her look for the event.

Asked whether she will be bringing a date to the ABS-CBN Ball, Locsin answered: “Hindi ko lang sure kung maglalakad ako sa red carpet na may kasama, o solo. Kung anuman, okay ako, e.”

Locsin is known to be in a relationship with film producer Neil Arce.
