To celebrate her 40th year in the industry, Sharon Cuneta is holding a concert dubbed "My 40 Years."

As fans eagerly await Cuneta's shows at the Araneta Coliseum this September 28 and 29, let's take a look back at 40 things that most people probably don't know about the country's "Megastar."

MUSIC

1. Cuneta sang the classic OPM song "Tubig at Langis" when she was only 14 years old.

2. Her first single is titled "Tawag ng Pag-Ibig."

3. "Mr. DJ," composed by Rey Valera, is Cuneta's first major hit.

4. Because of the success of "Mr. DJ," she earned the moniker "DJ's Pet."

5. Cuneta staged her first concert titled "Sharon, Solo with the Boys" in July 1984.

6. Two years later, she hosted her own musical variety program, "The Sharon Cuneta Show."

7. In her career spanning four decades, Cuneta has worked with industry greats like George Canseco, Willy Cruz, Ryan Cayabyab, and Louie Ocampo.

8. Cuneta is a big fan of her aunt, actress Helen Gamboa, and is one of the reasons why she joined showbiz.

21. After years of being a love team, Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion tied the knot in September 1984.

22. She gave birth to her firstborn, KC Concepcion, in April of the following year.

23. In 1987, Cuneta and Concepcion parted ways.

24. It was during the wedding of her brother when Cuneta first met Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan. They went out on a date and became an item in 1994.
