A singer from Butuan City is the first-ever winner of "Bolt of Talent," a reality talent competition by soft rock legend Michael Bolton.

In the finale held in Malaysia that aired Wednesday night on Star World, the Mindanao-born Lance Busa wowed Bolton and the other judges with his cover of "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You."

He defeated Thailand's Mild Nawin.

For his win, Busa, 22, will take home a record deal, join Bolton's Asian tour as an opening act (including in the Manila leg in November), and become a car brand ambassador.
