MANILA, Philippines – Members of the British new wave band "The Wild Swans" arrived Manila on Monday.

The group is set to do back-to-back concerts this weekend.

They will be performing in Cebu on September 30.

Then, they will fly back to Manila in time for their October 1 gig at the SM Mall of Asia.

The band members showed excitement since this is their first time in the country.

So far, the members of “The Wild Swans” said they are enjoying their stay. “We’re really pleased to be here. It’s very humid, but it’s raining like back home.”

They added that they sincerely appreciate Filipinos’ friendliness and hospitality.

“I can see that the people of the Philippines are beautiful friendly people and it’s great to be here to meet them all,” they said.

“The Wild Swans” was one of the hottest bands in the 80’s. Among their hit songs are “Bringing Home the Ashes,” “Young Manhood,” and “Bible Dreams.” – Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
