MANILA – Bela Padilla is ready for whatever moviegoers will say about her screenplay for Star Cinema’s “Last Night.”

“I don’t mind senseless bashing. Constructive criticism, I will accept all of it. Kapag senseless bashing, medyo wala siya sa list ng kailangan kong pagtuunan ng pansin,” she said at the sidelines of a recently concluded digital conference for the film.

“Like we said, it’s an experience. Our intentions are very good. We want everybody to have a good experience. Sana lang they keep that in mind,” Padilla added.

The actress revealed that she wrote the story when she was still part of the ABS-CBN series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

“Sa tent ako nagsusulat kapag tengga. Kapag gusto mo, gagawin mo. Kahit anong bagay naman, hindi lang sa pagsusulat, kapag may gusto kang gawin, magagawa mo,” said Padilla, who took classes under acclaimed screenwriter Ricky Lee.

“Ang weird kasi may days na on, may days na off… I wanted to take a proper course. He taught us on how to keep on writing. Hindi puwedeng may on days and may off days. Right now, I am trying to practice that,” she said.

Currently, Padilla said she is in the process of finishing two more scripts.

"Last Night" is top-billed by Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga. It is their first big screen outing together since 2014.

Directed by Joyce Bernal, the movie will hit cinemas nationwide starting September 27.
