MANILA – Fans of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil won’t have to wait long to see their idols back together on the big screen.

Soberano and Gil are set to reunite for a movie project to be helmed by Cathy Garcia Molina, who also directed their first series together, “Forevermore.”

Speaking to reporters after their story conference on Tuesday, Molina said the movie will be another rom-com which will introduce a new brand of “kilig” from the LizQuen love team.

“Siyempre bawat pelikula, dahil bagong characters, bago rin ang kuwento at kilig... Yung dalawa naman are always eager to make themselves better, to try new characters, to try on new things,” she said of Soberano and Enrique, who starred in the recently concluded series "Dolce Amore."

Refusing to give details, Gil said the story of their movie is “very light, very now, very young and very close to our hearts.”

Soberano, for her part, assured their supporters that the movie will be released in theaters this year.

In an interview with the entertainment website PEP, Soberano said they will not have any kissing scenes yet in their next big-screen team-up.

“I don't want to disappoint them… but I don’t think so yet. Kasi I just turned eighteen and it all happens in the right time,” she said.

Soberano then turned to Gil and asked: “Pwede pa naman maghintay 'yun, ‘di ba? (The kissing scenes can wait, right?)”

Gil answered with a wink as a sign of saying yes.
