Maxene Magalona has shared her favorite song by her late dad, rap icon Francis Magalona.

Revealing her top tune in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda," she said: "Reach for the Stars."

"Kasi ang ganda ng lyrics, very powerful. It really tells you to never stop dreaming, to just go for your dreams," she explained.

She also said that the track summed up the way her father, who died of leukemia, viewed life. "Even if he was sick, he never stopped doing the things that he wanted to do."

"Kahit may sakit po siya, hindi siya tumigil, nag-record pa rin po siya ng album. Talagang he really fought for his life, he fought for his dream," Maxene said.

Maxene was on the late night talk show to promote the morning serye, "Playhouse," wherein she plays Natalia, the show's antagonist with a fake American accent.
