MANILA – Police on Thursday arrested Brunei-based businesswoman Kathy Dupaya at a condominium in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

According to Taguig Chief of Police Alexander Santos, the arrest was based on the warrant issued by Judge Andy De Vera of the Manila Municipal Trial Court Branch 28 in connection with the case filed by fragrance mogul Joel Cruz.

Cruz filed the P20-million libel suit against Dupaya in June over allegations that he sent her expired products.

Dupaya also alleged that Cruz lacked proper government documents. -- Zhander Cayabyab, ABS-CBN News
