Atom Araullo’s announcement on Friday that he is finally leaving ABS-CBN made him one of the most talked about topics on Twitter.

Several netizens expressed shock over his decision to bid farewell to the network where he worked as a reporter for more than a decade.

Others had nothing but well wishes for the 32-year-old TV personality in his future endeavors.

While he hasn’t disclosed where’s he’s headed, let’s take a look back at the highlights of his career.

1. 5 and Up

Araullo started appearing on television as part of the magazine TV show “5 and Up.” Produced by The Probe Team, the show ran for a decade, from 1992 to 2002, in TV5 and in GMA. It was hosted by several young reporters through the years, including Araullo.

2. Breakfast

Araullo was also part of the morning show “Breakfast.” It aired on Studio 23, which is also owned by ABS-CBN, for a couple of years until 2007. In this show, Araullo and his former girlfriend, Patty Laurel-Filart, were co-hosts.

3. Kalye

In September 2008, ABS-CBN launched the weekly documentary "Kalye: Mga Kuwento sa Lansangan." It featured three life-changing stories per episode as told by Araullo and reporters Anthony Taberna and Sol Aragones.

4. Umagang Kay Ganda

Araullo joined “Umagang Kay Ganda” along with Ginger Conejero in July 2009. At that time, he was tapped to be part of the ABS-CBN morning program to represent the youth. He was part of “UKG” for eight years until his final appearance as a host of the show on September 15, 2017.

5. Yolanda

In 2013, many people admired Araullo for his daring coverage in Tacloban City, which was battered by one of the world's most powerful typhoons at that time. Araullo reported live at around 6:40 a.m. from a street in Tacloban for "Umagang Kay Ganda," as he described the devastation brought by "Yolanda" in the area.

6. Red Alert

In March 2014, Araullo was tapped to host the ABS-CBN Current Affairs program “Red Alert.” The show helps its viewers gear up for worst-case scenarios.

7. Warmer

In April 2017, Araullo's documentary "Warmer" won a bronze world medal at the New York Festivals Awards for international TV programs and films. The documentary, which delves into grave climate conditions as experienced in two different parts of the world, was a winner in the climate change and sustainability category.

8. Citizen Jake

“Citizen Jake” is where Araullo will make his acting debut. Billed as the comeback film of acclaimed auteur Mike de Leon, the movie will see Araullo also as a reported named Jake Herrera. An official synopsis has yet to be released for the mysterious flick, which is set some time during the country's election period. The team behind it is hoping the movie makes it to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
