Vice Ganda was talking about the different "best in" awards handed out during beauty pageants, when suddenly one of his showbiz best friends came out of nowhere to give him a hug.

It's been a while since the "madlang people" saw Billy Crawford on "It's Showtime," so him popping in with wife Coleen Garcia Friday to say "hi" was a welcome surprise.

They were accompanied by Eric "Eruption" Tai, who reminded fans of his former role as the show's hype guy by shouting, in his familiar style: "What's up madlang people?"

"Na-miss namin iyong ganyang bati mo, Eruption," Vice Ganda said.

Tai, along with Garcia, left "It's Showtime" in 2016. Crawford has been on hiatus since the weeks leading up to his and Garcia's wedding last May.
