MANILA – Rachelle Ann Go is now engaged.

The Filipina singer and theater actress announced the good news through social media early Friday morning.

On Instagram, Go shared a photo of her with her boyfriend, New York-based businessman Martin Spies, by the beach where the latter can be seen down on his knee offering the singer a ring.

In the caption, Go said: “I just prayed for this on my 31st birthday and just like that this happened. What an amazing God we have. Thank you Father God for this man. A man who loves you first. I still cannot believe this!!”

The post had more than 16,000 “likes” and hundreds of comments as of early Friday, with netizens congratulating the former Kapamilya talent.

Among those who extended their well wishes to Go were Filipino veteran singers Zsa Zsa Padilla and Ogie Alcasid.

Rumors of Go’s new relationship circulated online after she posted a sweet-looking photo of her with Spies.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Spies works as a general manager of the American luxury fitness club Equinox.

Go was last known to be in a relationship with “Pinoy Big Brother” winner Slater Young. The couple broke up in 2014.
