Despite the so-called “network wars,” several artists associated with ABS-CBN rival GMA-7 have delighted viewers as they crossed over, even for a brief time, to the Kapamilya network.

Most of them made guest appearances in talk shows to promote films where they co-star with an ABS-CBN talent, or were co-produced by Star Cinema.

In no particular order, here’s a look at stars who were GMA-7 talents, or were associated with the network, at the time they visited Kapamilya programs:

MARIAN RIVERA

Dubbed GMA-7’s “Primetime Queen,” Rivera made promotional rounds on ABS-CBN in 2013 for her action fantasy flick “Kung Fu Divas,” co-starring then-Kapamilya talent Ai Ai delas Alas.

JENNYLYN MERCADO

The “StarStruck” winner became visible on the Kapamilya network in 2016 and 2016, as she sat down for interviews for “Kris TV” and “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” among others. She was promoting her movies with Sam Milby (“The Prenup”) and John Lloyd Cruz (Star Cinema’s “Just the 3 of Us”).

DINGDONG DANTES

Despite his status as GMA-7’s “Primetime King,” Dantes has been a favorite Star Cinema leading man, and is even set to co-star with Vice Ganda in this year’s “Fantastika.” He is no stranger to shows like “Tonight with Boy Abunda” and “Magandang Buhay.”

DENNIS TRILLO

The Kapuso actor visited numerous ABS-CBN programs in 2015 and 2015, both years when he shared the big screen with Kapamilya stars, via “You’re Still the One” (Maja Salvador) and “Bakit Lahat ng Gwapo may Boyfriend?” (Anne Curtis).

SOLENN HEUSSAFF

The French-Filipino actress made guest appearances in several ABS-CBN shows in 2014 and 2016. Those years marked her team-up with Kapamilya stars in movies — “Da Possessed” and “Love is Blind.”

VIC SOTTO

The screen veteran and host of the long-running “Eat Bulaga” has made several appearances on ABS-CBN over the years. Notably, in 2011, he starred in two films co-produced by Star Cinema, paving the way for TV promotions on the Kapamilya network.

JOEY DE LEON

The “Eat Bulaga” host was Sarah Geronimo’s onscreen dad in the 2011 film “Won’t Last a Day Without You.” The casting spurred his rare appearance on ABS-CBN via “The Buzz” and “Kris TV” that year.

CARLA ABELLANA

The actress’ four-movie streak in 2014 all saw her co-starring with Kapamilya talents. In the early and latter part of the year, she visited shows like “Kris TV” and “The Buzz.”

RHIAN RAMOS

Twice the leading lady of ABS-CBN stars — Piolo Pascual’s in “Silong” (2014) and Zanjoe Marudo’s in “Fallback” (2017) — Ramos joined her Kapamilya co-stars in promoting the films on ABS-CBN programs.

LOVI POE

With films like “The Bride and the Lover” (2013) and “Woke Up Like This” (2017) that had her teaming up with ABS-CBN stars, Poe also made guest appearances in Kapamilya shows to talk about those projects.

TERESITA SSEN MARQUEZ

Following her win as the Reina Hispanoamericana queen in 2017, the actress also known as Winwyn Marquez talked about her victory on shows like “Magandang Buhay” and “Tonight with Boy Abunda.”
