'Die Beautiful' tops 2017 Luna Awards

MANILA -- "Die Beautiful" took home majority of the awards at the 2017 Luna Awards during its awarding ceremony Saturday at Resorts World Manila.

Directed by Jun Lana, the Metro Manila Film Fest entry was named Best Picture, and also took home the awards for Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor for Christian Bables.

Hasmine Kilip won the Best Actress award for her role in "Pamilya Ordinaryo," while Bembol Roco was named Best Actor for his role in "Pauwi Na."

Chai Fonacier, on the other hand, took home the Best Supporting Actress award for "Patay na si Hesus."

The Luna Awards is given by the Film Academy of the Philippines for achievements in films.
