MANILA -- Singer Ogie Alcasid became teary-eyed while watching the taped messages from Leila and Sarah, his daughters with ex-wife Michelle van Eimeren, on "Magandang Buhay" on Wednesday.
"He's an incredibly wise person. I mean I know everyone knows him as the comedian and the funny guy but whenever I have something I need to go to him for, I need advice or I have a problem, he always has the best answers and he always knows how I'm feeling and he always knows how to fix it. I really admire him for that," Leila said about Alcasid.
"I really admire him for that. I love you and I miss you and I'm so proud and I really wish you all the best," Leila added.
Sarah added: "He will be able to tell me something to make me feel better or to help guide me down the right path. He's very good at that and I think that's amazing."
The two girls also mentioned how much they love him and that that they are proud of what he has accomplished.
For his part, Alcasid, who has since married fellow singer Regine Velasquez, reminded the two girls that he loves them.
"I'm so happy to be your dad. I know that I'm only in Australia five or six times a year but those are the times that are the most precious to me when I'm with you," he said.
Alcasid also performed "I Will Be Here" for his daughters.
Alcasid and Velasquez have a son, Nathaniel James.
