Once and for all, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla finally confirmed being a couple after years of speculation on the status of their relationship.

The topic was brought up during a press conference Wednesday for their upcoming film “The Hows of Us,” which centers on a couple who goes through a rough patch in their long-term relationship.

Padilla and Bernardo said they could relate to their respective characters, George and Primo, as they, too, have experienced “saving” their relationship in real life.

Padilla, 23, candidly referred to himself as Bernardo’s “boyfriend” at several points in the media launch. Bernardo, 22, meanwhile, revealed that a heated confrontation scene in the movie was inspired by their own past arguments as a couple.

In a huddle with reporters after the press conference proper, Bernardo was asked to confirm Padilla’s earlier mention of “more than five years,” referring to how long they’ve been a couple. She echoed the same phrase.
