Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo portray a married couple on the verge of separating in the first teaser of “Playhouse,” the Kapamilya stars’ first teleserye together.

In the teaser that debuted on television Monday, the love story of Patty (Panganiban) and Marlon (Marudo) is traced to a chance meeting at a comedy bar. They are then shown getting married and having a family.

The montage of happy moments gets snapped by a shouting match between the two, about Patty seeking the annulment of their marriage.

Despite the dramatic scene, its music is decidedly light — a hint of the series' tone as a romantic comedy.

“Playhouse” was one of the new programs introduced in ABS-CBN’s most recent trade show for advertisers. A premiere date, however, has yet to be announced.

The teleserye also stars Maxene Magalona, Kian Cipriano, Ariella Arida, Nadia Montenegro, Smokey Manaloto, Donny Pangilinan, and Kisses Delavin.
