MANILA -- While he acknowledges that their relationship is not perfect, Matteo Guidicelli believes that he found "the one" in Sarah Geronimo.

Speaking to reporters in a press conference on Friday, the 26-year-old actor said she is happy that Geronimo is now doing other things apart from work.

The couple recently tried mountain climbing to celebrate Geronimo's 28th birthday. The actress has also taken cooking and pole dancing classes.

According to Guidicelli, he will continue to support his girlfriend's pursuits.

"We climbed mountains. We’re gonna climb more mountains literally and figuratively," he said.

“I encourage her to open her eyes, not just work, but to enjoy her life. She’s already 28, she deserves it. All of us do. We have to enjoy.”

The actor added that he encourages Geronimo to free her spirit and live life to the fullest.

“You need to have freedom in your soul, in your mind," he said. “There are so many things we could see. We shouldn’t be stuck to do one thing only."
