MANILA -- Karylle is set to play the role of a pole dancer in the upcoming Asian television series "Private Investigator," which is currently being filmed in Singapore.

Karylle's manager, Arnold Vegafria, shared on Instagram some photos of the "It's Showtime" host with some of the cast and crew of the series.

Karylle earlier announced that she would leave "Showtime" for an undisclosed span of time.

"Mami-miss ko ang 'It's Showtime' family kasi dito ako natuto to dream big," she said. "Tulad nga nung sabi nila, dito talaga ako nag-umpisa mangarap para sa sarili ko. Ang Filipino, world-class athletes, world-class talents, so kailangan natin i-develop iyan."

On Moday, she was visited by co-host Jugs Jugueta and his wife Andie, whom she accompanied to Singapore's Chinatown.

"Private Investigator," which stars Terence Tay, is directed by Ian Seymour.
