MANILA -- Iza Calzado will once again play the role of a mother in the upcoming series "Ngayon at Kailanman" starring Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.
The actress, who is set to tie the knot soon, said she sees nothing wrong with portraying yet another mother role.
She admitted, however, that she still finds it challenging. "I don't have children in real life. That's really where the uncomfortable feeling comes from. Kasi feeling ko minsan, tama ba 'yung emotion na binibigay ko bilang isang ina?"
"Mas ganoon ang iniisip ko versus the vanity aspect of it, that I'm too young to play the role of a mother."
Calzado said what is important is she gives justice to any role that is given to her.
"At the end of the day, I am an actress. And part of that is, you know, playing, doing a role, performing. It doesn't matter whether or not I have a child. I should be able to find a way to be able to play the role as a mother. I should at least try," she said.
"Kasi honestly, after Angelica Panganiban played the mother of Daniel Padilla and Jodi for Kathryn, naisip ko na wala akong karapatang magreklamo at trabaho po ito at maganda ang role," she added.
This is the second time Calzado is portraying the role of a mother to Barretto's character, after the series "A Love To Last."
