MANILA—Gerald Anderson is now part of the Army as a reservist after completing a short training course at Camp Tecson in San Miguel town, Bulacan, it was revealed this Friday.

According to ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe, the actor took a 3-day skills training course for soldiers.

Matteo Guidicelli, an army reservist, too, after graduating as a scout ranger back in June, was one of his instructors.

Anderson's "A Soldier's Heart" co-stars Elmo Magalona, Yves Flores, Jerome Ponce, and Nash Aguas also took and finished the same course.

On his Instagram Stories, Anderson shared plenty of clips from their apparent graduation party.

This is not the first time Anderson underwent military training. He did so back in 2017 for the indie action film "AWOL."

This development came just days after he had spoken up about his breakup with Bea Alonzo, his girlfriend for 3 years.

He denied that she had an affair with young actress Julia Barretto during the relationship, and insisted that she and Alonzo broke up mainly because of a series of fights they had.

There is currently no known release date for "A Soldier's Heart."
