MANILA - A 17-year-old beauty queen with an undisclosed rare health condition is joining the ongoing season of "Pinoy Big Brother" as one of the teen housemates.
Kisses Delavin, who hails from Masbate, was introduced on the late night talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda." She said that she auditioned for the reality television show in order to prove that she is ready to become an independent woman.
Being an only child, Delavin admitted that she was raised in a sheltered environment. And while acknowledging that her close relationship with her parents are important, she explained that learning to stand on your own too feet is just as valuable.
Delavin was one of the four housemates introduced on Thursday. Bohol native Fenech Veloso was revealed on "It's Showtime," while "Badjao Girl" Rita Gabiola and "Yakult Girl" Kristine Hammond were unveiled on "TV Patrol."
The other teen housemates are Vivoree Esclito, Filipino-British Edward Barber and Zamboanga-born Yong Muhajil. More housemates are expected to be revealed on Friday.
