MANILA – Zanjoe Marudo gave a curt reply with asked by reporters on Sunday about the status of his friendship with former girlfriend, actress Bea Alonzo.

Marudo and Alonzo broke up more than eight months ago after being in a relationship for over five years.

“Okay naman kami. Hindi ko siya nakikita eh,” Marudo said.

While both of them have said that they are in good terms even after their separation, Marudo did not give a direct answer when asked if they still get to communicate with each other.

“May number naman kami ng isa’t isa,” he merely said.

Has he found time to watch the movie “How to Be Yours” to support Alonzo’s latest project?

“Hindi. Busy ako eh,” he said while giving out a shy smile.

Aside from the ABS-CBN series “Tubig at Langis,” Marudo is also currently working on a new movie with Angel Locsin and Sam Milby.

Talking more about this project, Marudo said he waited long enough for this movie to materialize and he is excited now that it’s finally happening.

“Last movie ko, two years ago. Talagang naghihintay ako ng isang script na mai-in love ako at magugustuhan ko 'yung storya. Ito dumating siya. Isa siyang magandang love story. Excited akong gawin. Nakakalimang araw na kami,” he said, adding that he is focused on his career as of the moment.

Marudo said he is enjoying all the opportunities coming his way, especially now that he is single.

“Nag-e-enjoy naman ako. Ang dami ko pang inaasikaso para sa sarili ko,” he said.
