A grand gesture or a costly gift isn't always necessary to melt a girl's heart. Sometimes, all it takes is one small act of kindness.

On Friday, Enrique Gil made his legion of female fans swoon after he got down to tie the laces of Liza Soberano's shoes while they were walking around Toronto, Canada, as seen in a short video that made its way on Instagram.

Many were quick to dub the Kapamilya heartthrob a true gentleman, while others said that the small action just goes to show that chivalry isn't dead. Some added that this proves the sincerity of Gil's feelings.

The actor has made it clear that he is in love with Soberano.

In an interview with YES!, in which they talked about "relationship with no labels," Gil gushed: "Yeah, it's her and I tell her that naman. It's the first time I tell that to any girl, so I guess, she's the one."

The duo have long been rumored to be a couple. According to Gil, the reason behind them skirting around the whole boyfriend-girlfriend label is that he respects Soberano's family, who doesn't want her to have a relationship until she reaches the age of 23.

Both Gil and Soberano are in Canada for an upcoming "ASAP" show to be held at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto on Sunday (Manila time).
