MANILA -- From doing indie projects, AJ Muhlach and Phoebe Walker are going mainstream with the upcoming movie "Double Barrel."
The film tackles drug-related issues, including extrajudicial killings and police violence, among others.
On Monday night, Muhlach and Walker were guests on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" to talk about the film, which required them to have a steamy love scene.
According to Walker, who won best supporting actress on Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 for the film "Seklusyon," the love scene took awhile to shoot. Only six people were allowed to watch during the taping.
"Nakakakaba siya when we did it," she said, adding that it was her personal request to limit the number of people in the set.
"Double Barrel" is directed by award-winning filmmaker Toto Natividad, the man behind "Ang Probinsyano." It will premiere on August 9.
