MANILA -- There are only a few days left before Honne and Anderson.Paak take the stage in Karpos Mix 1.2 on July 24 at the Vertis North Tent in Quezon City.

The electronic duo Honne took time out to answer questions about their new music, possible collaborations with Asian artists, and plans for their upcoming performance in Manila.

This is their second time in our country, having performed to a packed crowd during the Wanderland Music Festival in 2017.

Q: Your album's set to be released this August. Can you tell us something about it?
A : We can’t wait for it to be out in its entirety! The record is called "Love Me / Love Me Not" and we wanted it to show the highs and lows and ups and downs of life. So we split the record right down the middle -- the first half is all ‘Love Me’ tracks and the second half is all ‘Love Me Not’ tracks.

Q: Anything that you've tried to do differently this time around?
A: We’ve been inspired by a lot of hip hop and rap production over the last couple of years, whilst touring and listening to a lot of music. So this time 'round we wanted the record to be more beat-driven and also a bit more diverse in terms of production, which I think we have achieved.

Q: There are rumors about collaborations with a lot of popular Asian artists? Any truth to these? Would you like to collaborate with anyone in particular?
A: There might be some truth to the rumors, yes. It’s someone that I think quite a few of our fans would be happy about, us doing a collaboration with. But in general there’s a lot of great artists in Asia right now that we feel could be cool to collab with -- like Dean, RM, DPR LIVE.

Q: You've been to the Philippines, how was your first visit? Favorite moments?
A: Our first visit was great. The audience were a lot of fun. Some of our favorite moments were during the choruses of ‘Warm On A Cold Night’ and ‘Good Together’ when everyone was singing super loud. We had a particularly funny moment when my keyboard stand broke and collapsed to the floor whilst I was playing it. We still laugh about it now.

Q: Anything that you want to your Filipino fans to look forward to in your next visit?
A: They can look forward to a refreshed set with a good mix of old and new tunes and a bit of a party. Let’s goooo!

Tickets for Karpos Mix 1.2 are available at P3,850++.
