MANILA – Vice Ganda vehemently denied an article saying he supposedly negotiated with TV5 amid ABS-CBN’s franchise woes.

Taking it to Twitter, the “It’s Showtime” host was unable to stop himself from cursing as he shared a screenshot of the said article.

Published on Pinoy Trend, the story suggests that TV5 rejected Vice Ganda after his camp supposedly asked for a P3-million talent fee.

The comedian tagged it as fake news.

On Monday, Vice Ganda faced the media in a virtual conference to talk about his upcoming digital network, viceganda.com.ph.

Vice Ganda also cited ABS-CBN bosses Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes, among others, who challenged him and other artists to go digital.

“Hiningi ko ito ng basbas sa ABS-CBN kaya nagpapasalamat ako,” he told ABS-CBN News and other news outlets.

“I am so blessed that I was given the opportunity to work with the best people at ABS-CBN and Viva who shared their wisdom with me. Napapaligiran ako ng magagaling na tao,” he added.

Aside from the talk show “Gabing Gabi na Vice,” the comedian’s network will also have a 10-episode sitcom, an interactive game show, a karaoke challenge and documentaries.

Viceganda.com.ph will go live on Friday, July 24. The comedian also hopes to provide employment to displaced workers from ABS-CBN.
