MANILA -- Marjorie Barretto plans to take legal action against a netizen who posted a photo of her daughter Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson attending the party of actor Rayver Cruz.

The photo sparked dating rumors between the two stars of the movie "Between Maybes."

In the comment section of her recent Instagram post showing her photo with her eldest daughter Dani, Marjorie agreed to the suggestion that she should take legal action against the person who posted the photo.

"Yes. I will," Barretto wrote.

Marjorie also reacted a netizen who suggested filing a case against the women who are expressing their support to Bea Alonzo, Anderson's girlfriend.

"Ikaw yata ang naloko nila. Based on a harmless photo, naging mangaagaw na si Julia? You’re so affected. The person who is circulating that is even hiding under a dummy account. You mean that person has more credibility?" Marjorie wrote.

The mother of five also extended her appreciation to all who expressed their concern and support for Julia.

"Julia is strong. Don’t worry. We will come out with a statement," Marjorie wrote.

"I raised my children to stand up to bullies," Marjorie added as a reply to a follower who told her that the netizen who started circulating the photo of the "Between Maybe" stars has deactivated her Instagram account.

When asked if she believes that Alonzo was reacting to the pictures that circulated online, Marjorie said she thinks so.

Anderson and Barretto were among the top trending topics on Twitter after Alonzo posted a cryptic message on Sunday.
