MANILA — Celebrity couple Sam Milby and Catriona Gray opted to post about their relief efforts amid the coronavirus crisis on Monday, appearing to ignore a controversial message from the latter's former boyfriend Clint Bondad.

Bondad, Gray's ex-boyfriend of 6 years, shared on Instagram his private message to Milby, asking him to "become my client."

"How about we have a little chat," he captioned the screenshot on Monday morning.

Hours later, Milby and Gray each posted an identical video that included them both on Instagram, chronicling the Miss Universe titlist's relief program for families in Tondo, in partnership with her adopted organization Young Focus.

In the video, Milby is seen helping distribute sacks of rice to families — the result of Gray's successful fundraiser dubbed #PassTheKindness.

Since it was launched, #PassTheKindness has raised P5 million, amounting to 100,000 kilograms of rice, Gray reported.

Referring to Young Focus, Milby wrote, "I've heard so much about them and the work that they do from @catriona_gray so I wanted to also get involved and support."

"Going there and working with their volunteers was really rewarding. It proved to me that helping others is one of the most rewarding things you can do."

One of the comments on Milby's video was from Gray, who wrote, "Thanks for being so supportive of my @youngfocusph family."

In her own Instagram post sharing the same video, Gray said she hopes to show "that it doesn't matter how big or small an act, it can still make a difference for someone today."

Also seen in the video are other celebrity donors, such as Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Andrea Brillantes, Claudia Barretto, Pooh, and Kyline Alcantara.

Milby and Gray were first romantically linked in December 2018. As recently as December 2019, Gray still referred to Milby as a friend. They only confirmed being a couple through Milby's birthday post in May 2020.
