MANILA — Nadine Lustre and Yassi Pressman brought fierce energy to the “ASAP Natin ‘To” stage on Sunday with a dance showdown inspired by feuding rap queens Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
The real-life best friends drew cheers with the hip-hop number that reminded fans why Pressman is considered a top dancer among her contemporaries, and gave a glimpse of Lustre’s upcoming film role.
Lustre leads the cast of “Indak,” which is billed as an epic dance movie set for release on August 7. It’s directed by Paul Basinillo and also stars Sam Concepcion.
“Indak” is seen as a fresh acting challenge for Lustre, who has had a stellar 2019 as a grand slam best actress winner for the romance drama “Never Not Love You.”
Pressman is similarly up for a new undertaking with the release of her single, “Sige Na Please,” on top of her starring role in the top-rating “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
