MANILA - Nikko Natividad of the boy group Hashtags has admitted being a father.

Natividad, also one of the celebrity housemates of the newest season of "Pinoy Big Brother," turned emotional when he revealed that he has a one-year-old baby with his non-showbiz girlfriend.

According to Natividad, he decided to keep his baby and his relationship with the mother hidden because he had to.

"Kaya ko po sila tinago kasi nag-uumpisa pa lang ako sa showbiz," he reasoned. "Kailangan ko pong itago sila pero hindi naman po nangangahulugan na kinakahiya ko sila. Sa totoo lang, sobra akong proud na may anak po ako."

Natividad is one of the first members of Hashtags introduced in November. The group, like the other boy groups of past, was formed with the intention to market them to young female viewers. It was Natividad's first big break in showbiz.

"Gusto ko po kasi talaga yumaman," Natividad said, adding that he wants to secure a future for his kid. "Iyong mga hindi ko naramdaman nung bata ko, pararamdam ko sa kanya," he explained.

Natividad came from a broken family. His parents split when he was just two years old. "Mulat po kasi ako sa pamilya na walang ibang problema kung hindi pera," he admitted.

Natividad promised to do his best inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house and take his baby out after he leaves the reality show.

"Dadalhin ko po siya sa mall," Natividad, in tears, said. "Nagi-guilty po ako eh. Nakabili na akong sasakyan, nakakain ako sa labas. Pero iyong anak ko, hindi ko ho mailabas eh. Gusto ko talaga siya isama."
