MANILA -- Coco Martin said he enjoyed his quick beach getaway in Cebu over the weekend, where he was able to "bond" with his "Ang Probinsyano" co-star Maja Salvador.

"Actually masaya 'yon. Nagkaroon kami ng time para makapagsama ulit," the actor said in an interview on Wednesday night.

Martin and Salvador flew to Cebu to attenda singing and dancing contest hosted by a local corned beef brand. After the show, they were photographed enjoying at a beach and at a swimming pool of a resort.

But Martin quickly clarified that they were with other people. "Actually hindi ko intention na mag-swimming pero nahihiya ako sa kanila baka sabihin kill-joy. So 'yun nag-swimming kami at nakakatuwa kasi nakakapag-bonding kami," he said.

Martin has already denied that he is courting the 27-year-old actress, saying he is more focused on improving their work.

On Wednesday, he reiterated that he and Salvador are really good friends.

"Siguro matured na ang friendship namin, wala kaming malisya o ano," he said, adding that both of them just want to entertain their fans who are supporting their love team."Kapag may opportunity ay ginagawa namin 'yung best para maibalik naman namin 'yung pagpapasalamat para mapasaya sila."

"Kami, nandoon kami para makagpasaya ng tao. Kahit paano nakapag-bakasyon, nakapahinga," he added.

He also praised Salvador for bringing out the best in him.

"Kapag tumuntong na kami sa stage, nadadala na niya ako. Kumbaga sa sobrang galing ni Maja as a performer and actress kapag tumuntong sa stage kahit sino ay madadala niya," he said.

Meanwhile, Martin also admitted that there is someone who "inspires" him at the moment.

"Siyempre may nagpapakilig naman sa akin," he said, although he refused to elaborate.

"Ang private life ko ay iniingatan ko. Sabi ko nga, ayaw kong daanin sa trabaho. Ayaw ko din maramdaman niya -- kung sino man 'yung babae na 'yon -- na parang ang tendency ay the usual na ginagamit ko lang for the sake of work. Para sa akin iba ang trabaho."
