MANILA – Aljur Abrenica shared a very touching message on Instagram for his soon-to-be first born child with Kylie Padilla, breaking his five-month social media hiatus.

According to the actor, he stumbled upon a photo of a father and a child holding each other’s hands and it made him “more thankful for everything that God has blessed me with.”

As if talking to his baby, Abrenica wrote: “You are the pot of gold at the end of all my rainbows. The reward for all my sacrifices.. You are my love, my life, and inspiration.”

Abrenica said he cannot wait to meet and hold his son, and whisper in his ear how much he loves him.

It was last January when Padilla and Abrenica confirmed that they are happily expecting their first child.

In a previous interview, Padilla revealed that she had herself tested back in November, weeks before rumors about her pregnancy sprang up.

"Actually, even before the pregnancy test, alam ko na. Kasi very aware ako sa katawan ko," she told PEP.

For his part, Abrenica shared that he is ecstatic about being a father, saying: "Nakakatuwa kasi masaya, kasi blessing 'yun, eh. Sino ba naman ang hindi sasaya na nagkaroon ka ng anak, bilang isang lalaki, sa babaeng mahal na mahal mo?"

Abernica and Padilla first became a couple in 2011. They then had a much-publicized breakup in 2014, but got back together last year.
