MANILA -- Comedienne Candy Pangilinan revealed how her long-time friend Karla Estrada confirmed that her ex-husband Gilbert Alvarado was cheating on her.

“Siya ang nakahuli! Si Karla ang nakahuli! Siya ang dahilan kaya wala akong asawa,” Pangilinan said in a casual interview on "Magandang Buhay."

According to Pangilinan, Estrada first caught Alvarado with another woman when they were still engaged. Despite that, she forgave Alvarado and pursued the marriage.

“Noong time na ‘yun ikakasal pa lang, nung nahuli ni Karla ikakasal pa lang ako no’n, so dahil matigas ang ulo ko at naniwala ako kay Gelli na past is past so pinatawad ko, nagbalikan kami, nagpakasal ako na ako rin naman ang gumastos,” Pangilinan said.

Pangilinan and Alvarado separated within less than two years after their marriage. They were blessed with a son, Quentin, who has autism.

“After a year nabuntis ako. After a month I gave birth, umalis siya,” Pangilinan recalled.

Despite her son's condition, Pangilinan believes the 13-year-old is a blessing to her. She said her son continues to develop, and has now acquired better social skills.

“Ang laki na ng development ni Quentin because he started with not talking, not walking, not doing anything at all… Two years ago nawala na ‘yung autism niya na rule out ang autism. Nagkaroon na siya ng social skills,” she said.

She is currently writing a book about autism with the help of her son's doctor.
