MANILA – Lav Diaz's Golden Lion-winning film "Ang Babaeng Humayo" and Star Cinema’s “Everything About Her” dominated the first-ever Entertainment Editors' Awards held at the KIA Theater in Quezon City on Sunday.

“Ang Babaeng Humayo” was named Best Picture, while Diaz was named Best Director and was also given the Manny Pichel Award.

John Lloyd Cruz, who played an abused transgender in “Ang Babaeng Humayo,” got the Best Supporting Actor award.

The film was inspired by the short story "God Sees the Truth, But Waits" by Russian author Leo Tolstoy.

Meanwhile, Vilma Santos and Angel Locsin were named Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, for their performances in the Star Cinema film “Everything About Her,” which also brought home the Best Musical Score and the Best Screenplay awards.
