MANILA -- "Bakit hindi tayo magtulungan?"

This was what Judy Ann Santos asked the congressmen tackling the ABS-CBN franchise, as she echoed arguments about how denying the network the chance to go back on air could lead to more problems for the country during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kapamilya star posted her plea on Instagram Saturday, joining several other celebrities in speaking out on the issue, days after the government ordered more ABS-CBN broadcast platforms to shut down, affecting the lives of thousands of employees.

Santos, who recently starred in the ABS-CBN primetime teleserye "Starla", is currently hosting "Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan," a new show that encourages acts of goodwill during this time of crisis.

Her post came nearly a week after the government ordered shut two more ABS-CBN broadcast platforms — TVPlus and SKYdirect — prompting the likes of Angel Locsin, Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and many to criticize the decision online.
