MANILA - More than making a household name out of Gladys Reyes, the classic soap opera "Mara Clara" also paved the way for the actress to meet her future husband.

Reyes on Thursday mused about falling in love with Christopher Roxas while working on the 1990s show.

"Who would ever think that this boy, my puppy love, childhood sweetheart, my first and only boyfriend is now the father of my three beautiful children. He's indeed an answered prayer," she wrote as the caption to a photo of younger her and Roxas on the set of "Mara Clara."

Reyes also shared one with co-star Judy Ann Santos, who played the soft-spoken Mara in the series. "Rehearsal pa lang feel na ni Clara ang pang-aapi kay Mara," she said.

Reyes, Santos, and Roxas were all in attendance on Saturday when the show's original members reunited at the a Chinese restaurant in Bonifacio Global City. The lunch banquet was organized by Reyes and Santos, according to a report from the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
