MANILA -- Barney Stinson would not have approved.

Rocksteddy frontman Teddy Corpuz admitted to breaking the Bro Code when he decided to pursue the woman who eventually became his wife.

In an interview on the morning talk show "Magandang Buhay" on Tuesday, Corpuz admitted that before he met his wife Jasmine, his bandmate had already expressed interest in her.

However, he said it was love at first sight when he saw her at a party.

"Nagkakilala kami ng misis ko sa birthday ng kabanda ko. In-invite siya ng isa kong kabanda na ang may gusto ay isa ko ding kabanda. Tapos nung pumasok siya sa gate, bumagal ang oras, humino ang ibon at nagliwanag ang paligid," Corpuz recalled.

The "It's Showtime" host got her number after the party and immediately texted her as soon as he got home at 4 a.m.

"Sabi ko, 'gusto sana kitang i-beso kiss, kaya lang nahiya ako sa mga tropa mo.' Tapos nag-text siya, 'bakit di mo ginawa?' Tapos sabi ko, 'sige sabihin mo lang babalik ako diyan.' Tapos di nag-reply. So natulog na ako, tapos madilim biglang nag-ilaw ang cellphone ko. Kinuha ko ang cellphone at nakalagay doon 'go,'" he narrated.

"Eto totoo: alas singko ng umaga naligo, ako tapos kinuha ko ang kotse ko, diretso sa kanila. Tapos sabi ko, 'asan ang kiss ko.' So bineso niya ako. Sabi ko, 'wow naman 5 a.m. naligo ako at nagpabango ako, ang damot mo naman.' Sabi niya ano bang gusto mo?' Sabi ko rekta na tayo, kahit (lips-to-lips) man lang tapos nag-kiss kami. Tapos kami na noong day na 'yon," he continued. "Walang ligawan na nangyari."

Later that day, he invited her to watch a movie and she agreed.

They were together when Corpuz's bandmate also texted Jasmine to ask her out. But she told him that she was already with Corpuz.

After the movie, Corpuz had a recording session with his band.

"Pagpunta ko sa recording, nandoon ang tropa ko. Sabi ko, 'oy,' tapos sabi niya, 'di pare okay lang yon.' Sabi niya, 'di ko pa naman dini-diskartehan 'yon. Okay 'yon pare, good for you.' Tapos okay na kami," he shared.

Corpuz also admitted that they eloped and had a civil wedding -- much to the dismay of Jasmine's mother.

"Nagpakasal kami sa huwes. Bumalik kami sa bahay ni Jas, mineet ko ang nanay niya. 'Eto po kasal na kami kami.' Nagalit ang mommy niya, as in. Pero ako na ngayon ang favorite son-in-law," Corpuz said.

They now have two children, Angelica Phoebe and Theodore John who even appeared on the ABS-CBN game show "Bet On Your Baby" back in 2013.
