How far will you go for a scam?
A new movie by "Gods and Monsters" director Bill Condon answers that question as he unites Oscar winner Helen Mirren (“The Queen”) and two-time Oscar nominee Ian McKellen ("Lord of the Rings") for the New Line Cinema thriller "The Good Liar."
Based on the novel by Nicholas Searle, 'The Good Liar' tells the story of octogenarian con artist Roy Courtnay (McKellen) who is out for one last con by dating well-to-do widow Betty McLeish (Mirren).
The sinister swindle, however, takes a twist as Roy starts to care for Betty even as his secrets start to unravel.
Filmed on location in London and Berlin, The Good Liar also stars Russell Tovey (“Quantico”) and Jim Carter (“Downton Abbey”).
The film will be distributed in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Pictures, a WarnerMedia Company.
