MANILA – Maine Mendoza did not have second thoughts when she was offered to star in a movie with Carlo Aquino.

For the first time, Aquino and Mendoza will be paired in the upcoming Black Sheep film “Isa Pa With Feelings” to be directed by Prime Cruz.

Briefly describing the plot, Cruz said it will be about two broken people who find each other.

“Hindi na ako nag-isip. Go na. Super na-excite ako bigla. Doon sa story din kasi, very interesting,” Mendoza told reporters after the movie’s story conference on Thursday.

The GMA-7 artist said she was surprised when told about the project because she’s really a huge fan of his new leading man.

“Nagulat ako pero in a good way naman. Happy kasi I really do want to work with him, lalo na nung napanood ko 'yung ‘Meet Me in St. Gallen’ na nag-fan girl ako sa kanya,” she said.

Is she ready for how her fans would react considering she’s part of the popular “AlDub” love team along with Alden Richards?

“Ready naman ako sa kung anong ire-react nila. I was born ready. Ang fresh ng team up. Abangan natin. Titignan ko sa Twitter kung anong response. Sana [positive], bago rin kasi and from two different networks nga,” she said.

When asked what moviegoers could expect from this movie, Aquino said: “Kakaiba siya. Something new. 'Yun lang ang masasabi namin ngayon. Nung pini-pitch sa akin ito, ‘Talaga, ganyan?’ 'Yun lang ang nasabi ko. Very unique.”

The two were also asked if they are open to doing kissing scenes for the movie.

“Kung nasa script, kung nire-require ng story, why not? Okay lang naman,” said Mendoza.

“Oo naman,” Aquino quickly added.
