MANILA - Popular cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao is set to join the music industry after she signed Thursday a deal with 12 Stone Records as one of its contract artists.

Gosiengfiao, who is dubbed the country's "Cosplay Queen," expressed excitement over her debut as a recording artist.

She teased that fans can expect cosplay and anime-inspired music from her future projects.

"Siyempre, malaking pasabog po! It's a new thing for me, and I think it's also a new thing na magkaroon ng cosplay-ish na music and production. So tingnan po natin kung ano ang mangyayari. I'm excited!" she said.

Asked which artists she draws inspiration from, Gosiengfiao mentioned American pop star Katy Perry, Japan's Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and Filipino singers Barbie Almalbis and Kitchie Nadal.

Due to her popularity among cosplayers, Gosiengfiao has been tapped as an endorser for several beauty and tech brands here and abroad. She was also recently picked as an ambassador and VJ for Animax-Asia.
