MANILA — South Korean actor Park Bo Gum surprised and made fans here swoon Saturday as he serenaded them with a song in Filipino.
During his fan meet at the Mall of Asia Arena, the "Love in the Moonlight" star delighted Filipino fans as he performed "Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat," originally sung by Daniel Padilla.
Park's Manila fan meet was the final stop to his 2019 Asian tour, "May Your Every Day Be A Good Day."
He also performed his song, "Let's Go See the Stars," and "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman.
Park showed off his dancing skills, moving to the beat of songs by K-pop acts. Among them were BTS' "Boy With Luv," Twice's "What Is Love?" and Seventeen's "Pretty U."
Anne Curtis hosted the event, taking to social media after to talk about one of her "most memorable" and "challenging" hosting duties.
The fan meet was supposed to take place last April but was postponed after a series of earthquakes struck the country.
Park gained attention or his diverse roles in Korean television, most notably as a psychopathic lawyer in "Hello Monster" (2015) and a soft-spoken genius in "Reply 1998" (2015).
He further rose to fame in the Philippines thanks to "Love in the Moonlight," which aired on ABS-CBN.
His most recent drama was "Encounter," where he was paired with Song Hye Kyo of "Descendants of the Sun" fame.
