MANILA - The iconic "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) house opened anew on Saturday, welcoming its new housemates for the 10th anniversary edition of the hit ABS-CBN reality television show.
Seven teen housemates, whose identities were unveiled through various Kapamilya shows over the week, were formally introduced and ushered inside the blue and yellow house for the first episode of "PBB 737."
This batch included Cebu-native Ryan Bacalla, online heartthrob Bailey May, rapper Jimboy Martin, Atenean football player Kenzo Gutierrez, teenage mother Kamille Filoteo, Albay's Barbie Imperial, and Muslim teen Ailah Antopina.
More housemates will be revealed on "ASAP" on Sunday.
For the first challenge of the new season, "Kuya" had Antopina stay hidden inside the "confession room." According to Kuya, the 13-year-old is a "very special housemate" tasked to share insights about her culture to the other housemates.
"Ipakita mo ang kagandahan ng inyong kultura at kabutihan ng inyong pananampalataya," Kuya told Antopina.
The other housemates, meanwhile, were given a physical challenge, wherein they had to complete so that Antopina can formally join the competition.
Throughout the episode, the show's official hashtag #PBB737KickOff were among the top trending topics on Twitter worldwide.
