MANILA -- A talented young singer from Tondo, Manila faced a difficult decision after she made all three coaches turn for her on Saturday's episode of "The Voice Kids 2''.
Eight-year-old Telesa Marie "Esang" de Torres wowed the judges with her rendition of "Home", from the Broadway musical The Wiz.
Prior to joining the competition, de Torres also joined "Mini Me" on "It's Showtime" as mini Lea Salonga.
Upon turning for the child singer, Salonga instantly recognized de Torres.
"I knew it. My mini me is here!" Salonga said.
"Sige, kayong dalawa. Sige, see if you can outdo me. I dare you," Salonga then told her fellow coaches, Bamboo Mañalac and Sarah Geronimo, who both turned for de Torres.
"Esang, gagawin ko pa rin ang makakaya ko para mapanalunan kita," Geronimo said.
In an attempt to de Torres to join her team, Geronimo showed de Torres the trophy from the previous season, reminding her that the previous winners came from her team.
De Torres, however, opted to join Salonga's team, becoming its fifth member.
De Torres joins Bianca Marbella, Noah Anderson, Reynan Dal-anay, and Stephanie Jordan on Team Lea.
Kamp Kawayan, on the other hand, is composed of Altair Aguelo, Atascha Mercado, Christian Pasno, Lance Macalinao, Martina Luis, and Romeo Espino.
Meanwhile, Geronimo has the most number of members in her team, composed of Alexia Dator, Alyssa Celo, Francis Lim, Gian Ale, Ken Membrano, Krystle Campos, Kyle Echarri, and Zephanie Dimaranan.
"The Voice Kids", which is hosted by Robi Domingo and Yeng Constatino, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
